I design websites and web apps for local governments at Revize. That work taught me a simple rule: if a user can't find it or can't use it, the design isn't done yet.
I start with understanding the people who use the product: client interviews, competitive analysis, and audits of what already exists. It keeps every decision grounded in real needs.
Clean layouts, a strong visual hierarchy, and consistent components make large amounts of content easy to scan and navigate.
Contrast, readable type, and predictable interactions belong in the first draft, not the final fix. A design's look should never come before its usability.
